Jason Groot

Jason was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Alberta after completing his Bachelor of Environmental Studies at the University of Winnipeg. He lives full time in Cochrane, Alberta, but also has a residence in Crowsnest Pass, where he spends quality time with his wife and young son. Jason works as an Environmental and Safety planner for British Petroleum (BP). He thoroughly enjoys guiding part time for our shop, and specializes in walk and wade trips on the numerous trout streams in the region. In addition to spending as much time as possible fly-fishing, he enjoys hunting deer and elk in the Crowsnest Pass area.
